Description
Love Lane Brewing is based in the heart of Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, voted the “coolest” district in the UK. We’re keeping the city’s proud brewing heritage alive, with a new brewery and distillery.

In 2016, we began the transformation of our Liverpool base, renovating an old rubber factory into a 18,000 hectolitre Brewery, capable of brewing 3.2 million pints. Our family of beers and gins are all made under one roof.

Liverpool Craft was founded in 2011. Liverpool Craft bought in the Higsons Brewery name in 2018 at he same time the brewery changed name to Love Lane Brewery. Brewing started at the current venue in 2019. Cask beers are produced using the Higson's name, keg beers using Love Lane.

Can picked up at Home Bargains, Inverurie. It pours darkest brown with a small bubbly beige head. The is earthy roast, warming spice, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, cola cubes, umami, liquorice, vanilla and custard creams. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, heavy spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove rock, cola cubes, Dr Pepper, light vanilla, earthy roast, burnt toast, umami and some dried fruits. Finish is spicy and toasty. Lightish body and average carbonation. Actually it's ok. More drinkable than it sounds.

The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat light, roasty, dry ashtray, liqourice bitter, light maple syrup, warm boozy light alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Keg @ Love Lane Brewery Bar & Kitchen, Liverpool. Cloudy golden with a thick creamy-frothy head. Crisp light citrus tropical fruit and a lowish citric bitterness. Its strength gives it a good body.
