Description
Two Chefs Brewing started in 2012 with the desire to completely stock our homes with home made funky beers and we haven’t stopped brewing since. We always aim to provoke the conventional and we like to stick out our tongue to the familiar.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2015) Reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, with dense beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of red fruit, rye bread and orange peel. Malty, fruity taste with rye bread, citrus peel, grapefruit and a balanced citric bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced for its strength. Nice one.

Bottle from Bert’s Bierhuis Biltstraat, large sample. Slight hazy dark brown color, medium frothy light brown head. Aroma is quite roasty, blackcurrant, fruity, bit candy. Bit sweet in taste, slight malty bitterness. Bit chewy in the finish. Bit high on carbonation, thin to medium body. Fruity and slight spicy yeast notes in the aroma are a bit unfamiliar for the style, but maybe typical for high fermentation temperatures used in low countries breweries. I’m not surprised by it anymore. Prefer it to be more clean and creamy.

Bottle 330ml. @ Hotel room Bodegraven. [ @ Craig has blue nipples post fest tasting. ] [ As Two Chefs Dirty Katarina ].Clear dark brown color with a large to huge, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, molasses, chocolate, wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice hops, chocolate, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. A bit 1D but okay and no faults. [20140927]

Bottle. Golden copper color. Aroma of basil and grassy yeast. Taste has basil, spicey ginger, pepper, yeast and a little hop. Bit weird, but creative and nice.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy golden amber colour, thin off white head. Aroma of smoke, leather, yeast, some light sourness, peat, light sweetness. Flavour is smokey, tiny hint of honey, sourness, plenty of yeast, smoke and bitter finish. Light bodied. Guess it’s off, if not, it’s not very good.
