Bottle @ hotelroom tasting. Dark brown color, slight red glare coming through, small to average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly a touch of fruit and fruitpeel, decently bitter. A bit weird and unbalanced. Drinkable though.

Little hazy red brown beer, creamy beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very sweet, caramel, sugary, molasses, bit smoky, roasted, dusty. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, bitter hops, lemony, hoppy, fruity touch, slight roast. Aftertaste: sourish notes, lemony, roasted, bit sweet, caramel.

On tap at WWBF. Hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of sweet ginger, basil, light yeasty, fresh hoppy, citrus. Flavour of refreshing basil, ginger without the pepper bite, hops, citrus, dry saison-like character, decent bitter finish, light spicy. Light-bodied, soft carbonation. Really nice.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Description says pale ale btw. Slightly hazy golden yellow colour with some tiny particles, white head. Aroma of lemongrass, lemon, grapefruit, fresh and hoppy, later on more yeasty. Flavour of yeast, lemongrass, light malty, hay, lemon, grapefruit, nice bitter finish, more bitter than you’d expect from 25ebu. Light-bodied, crisp. If they’d get rid of the plastic yeast flavour, this’d be really great.

Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow color, medium sized white head that diminishes quite quickly. Aroma is nicely hoppy, nicely fruity, lightly grapefruit and orange. Taste malts, hops, grapefruit, orange, nicely bitter. Decent body and carbonation, very refreshing.

Golden with small white head, some little yeast clumps floating around even though I poured carefully. Lots of grapefruit, tangerine, flowers and pine at first, followed by a dry and spicy grainy body. Taste is light sour with bitter finish. Not much funk or lemongrass like the description mentioned, but there's some yoghurt-like acidity. Nice dry ale, wouldn't say it's really a saison. Not sure if all the hops really work that good with the rest but it's nice and refreshing.

Imperial stout with thick and dense, deep beige head and utterly black colour. Aroma of banana, charcoal, ashes, vanilla, coffee grounds, meat broth. Taste fruity, faintly sweetish, caramel malts evolving into a softly roasted bitterness, bit woody, not becoming too harsh, cold coffee, herbal hops in the finish but sweetness continuing as well. Not very convincing as a stout, like many of the new Belgian stouts, but still an enjoyable beer.

Sampled @ Gents Bierfestival 2014. 33 cl. bottle. Huge frothy bubbles, lighter black / brown. Nose is metallic, roast, charcoal, bit thin, touch liquorish. Taste is roasted coffee, ground, grainy mocha, liquorish, bit thin, dark sugar, touch soy sauce, liquorish, bit thin, grainy. Bit empty & thin, too heavy on mineral, roach, cacao grounds & liquorish for me. Okayish.

Gents Bierfestival Nr 5 Pours black, grey huge head . Smell is dark malts, rather bitter . Taste is bitter , coffee , roasted malts . Most overcarbonated stout I ever had so far . Ok tastewise, though .

Good rustbrown head over nearly black beer. Roasted, thick malts, syrup but not smelling sweet. Quite roasted to burnt, but not smoked. Bitter-woody, dry. Well-bodied, very slick. Slightly burning MF. Again - well-made but nothing special.
