Virtually black with a foamy, beige head of modest duration. Roasted, dark chocolate aroma with a vinous touch. Taste is bitter with a touch of milk chocolate sweetness at the end. Body to the full side of medium, moderate carbonation. Atypical bock, closer to a stout in feel, but in the end something of a hybrid. Original review text: Virtually black with a foamy, off-white head of modest duration. The aroma is the highlight, almost like a porter with strong roasted tones and dark chocolate. A subtle herbal twist (rosemary/ mint) keeps it interesting. Bittersweet with burnt notes at the back. An aggressive fizziness that’s out of place is the main flaw. Not as chewy as I’d prefer either. Ok.

Sweet-ish, wheaty and pale malty as well as slightly zesty, citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of mandarine and orange, hints of orange biscuits. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary and biscuity, pale and wheat malty, citrusy fruity hoppy, notes of mandarine, orange, hints of orange biscuit, mild, zesty bitterness. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Light and a tad monotonous - OK.
