25.05.2019 -- 1l bottle from edeka in berlin. pours a clear pale golden with no head. aroma of ripe apples, olives. flavour of apple juice, white wine, lemon juice. sour-ish. not unpleasant.

“Der alte Hochstädter Speyerling Apfelwein“, Flasche von REWE, Bürgstadt. - Tief goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase klare, natürlich saure Äpfel, leichte kellerige und schwach muffige Noten. - Im Geschmack reintönig säuerliche Klaräpfel, zart holzig- kellerig. Wenig rezent, schlank. - Ein wenig einspurig aber sehr sauber, gut herb und gradlinig. Angenehm.

Sample, courtesy of Kolschtrinker. Many thanks Koslchtrinker. Pours clear gold, no head to speak of. Aroma has cinnamon, underlying apple sweetness. Still, light, oily on the palate, medium-sweet with gentle cinnamon, lemon, cloves. Subtle apple sweetness. Not too bad, interesting mulled cider.

4/8/2018. Can from Karstadt Frankfurt Zeil. Under the Blech-Bembel brand but same 75/25 mix and abv so assumed to be the same as this one. Pours dark amber to brown with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma of light cola, lemon, apples and caramel. Medium, very artificial sweetness, moderate tartness. Light body, watery and oily texture, average carbonation. Finish develops a sour burst like a tangfastic! Ok I guess.
