Description
On the outskirts of Billund, just a stone's throw from the expansive Jutland heaths, lays Dansk Mjød. A traditional brewery which has brewed mead since 1994 on the basis of old recipes and with an uncompromising focus on quality and ingredients. It is the endless stories and myths about mead, which still inspire Dansk Mjød to create products that combine the ancient brew craft and tradition with a modern eye for quality and tastes.

Dark amber color. Mellow, wine aroma. Balanced taste (sweetness, alcohol…), a bit herbal. Ends with the necessary bitterness.

Golden color. Floreal and honeyish aroma. More boring than others, but also more evident honey taste. Very sweet. Very good.

Amber color. Aroma of perfume, alcohol, herbs. Sweet and very warming, harmonious flavors; in the end it’s almost burning. Good.

Hazy chestnut, low blanket head. Fruity, honeyish and sweet flowery aromanotes. Sweet base, roasted edges, flowery and fruity notes, berry notes a bit like in cough drops. The exit seems a bit thin for some reason. Flowery exit when warmed up. Dangerous stuff

(Ceramic bottle 75 cl) Comes as "Gl. Dansk Eng-Mjød" - the old name for it. Amber coloured with a slight haze, completely flat. Thick honey aroma. Very sweet sherry flavours and distinct notes of honey and overripe fruit. Very warming alcohol. Spiced with meadowsweet. 111005

(Bottle 75 cl) Beautiful, clear, dark chestnut colour with a creamy, light brown head. Notes of spices and honey in the aroma. Distinct honey flavour and some herbal, slightly medicinal notes. Excessively sweet, close to being cloying. Very hard to finish. This is a "mead-beer" a blend of Ørbæk Påskebryg and Gl. Dansk Mjød. 080705
