Description
Andy Hepworth started brewing in Reading almost directly after University. He moved to Horsham in 1980 and within five years became the youngest Head Brewer in the country, winning many awards.

The long-standing tradition of brewing in Horsham came to an abrupt halt in 2000 with the sale of its last brewery and so Andy, determined to maintain that tradition, joined up with the key members of the brewing team in order to create Hepworths, an independent brewery aiming to build its own range of quality brands, while maintaining flexibility for contract work.

In 2016 they relocated to their current site which they co-locate with Goodwood Brewery, Laines Brew Hub and Ridgeway Brewing sharing certain facilities but not brewplants.

Thanks for sharing! Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival. Clear amber,… Nose is hugely disgusting, smells like insecticide, appalling nasty murky herbal,… Taste is syrupy insecticide, hugely sticky, horrible rotting herbal,… Syrupy body,… Truly awful, revolting beer.

Bottle sample @ Leuven Beer Innovation 2015, shared with the RB Belgian crew. Thanks Tderoeck for sharing.

Courtesy of tderoeck. Apparently conceived as a beer from Bangladesh or India, but, much like e.g. Cobra, brewed in England for the many Asian immigrants there - too bad, would have been an interesting country tick otherwise. Thin and unstable, off-white head, pale golden blonde colour with not much fizz, cristal clear. Aroma of rice, sweat, iron and burning rubber, unpleasant. Sweet and sourish graininess in the mouth, thin, weird sweet (industrial) apple cider accent not fitting in too well, soft carbo (undercarbonated in fact, but in this case the fact that the bottle had been opened a while before, explains everything, I assume); thin and clearly metallic body, rice flavour, straightforward with almost no hops for balance; I hardly detected any bitterness at all in this one. Very unpleasant in every way but still interesting to taste, I had never heard of it.

24/V/15 - 33cl bottle @ train ride to LIBF (Leuven) - BB: 19/V/15 (2015-683) Thanks to jc1762 for the bottle!

Note: alas no country tick, Jon! :p
Clear orange beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very sweet, bit malty, fruity, sugar, banana. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots of banana, bit yeasty, sweet touch, more banana, citrus. Aftertaste: sweet, banana, yeast, slightly bitter, more banana. You would think they used Westmalle yeast to brew this beer. Very weird...

(Bottle) Clear golden with good white head. Aroma has lemon, grain and vegetable notes. Light body, good carbonation. Quite malty, although light malt and wheat, with some grain / cereal notes and a pleasant tartness. There is a hint of bitterness in the finish. Nice and refreshing, and went well with a curry.

Bottle 500ml (K-Supermarket, Kamppi)
Deep golden color, small white head. Typical grassy-earthy Kent hoppyness in the nose with some musty notes. Light-bodied. Filtered neutral pale maltyness, then English hoppy bitterness and light toasted sugar sweetness in the finish. Very standard old skool English bottled bitter.
