Bottle from Tesco Extra, Aylesbury, Bucks, Tuesday 3rd June 2014 consumed Wednesday 4th June 2014 Pours hazy gold with a white head. Quite bland very ordinary beer, a middling bitterness I am struggling to get anything here. Boring..... A5 A3 T5 P3 Ov10 2.6

500ml Bottle - Clear golden in colour. Tea, earthy notes and a hint of citrus in the aroma. Tea, grain and biscuity malt in the taste.

Bottle@Taj Mahal, Streatham, London - golden pour with large puffy white head. Aroma and taste is crisp sweet grainy malts, corn, light grassy. Beer very average, (unlike the food I was eating at the time that was gorgeous)

Bottle at home in London, shared with the Lyoli - picked up at a Tesco, I think. Branded as ’Sussex Lager’. Pours crystal clear gold, effervescent with a fine, creamy white head. Simple bread and cereal on the nose with hints of hay. Light to medium sweet flavor with further simple, biscuity pale malts, hints of white sugar, lemony hops, faint hay and grass. Light in body with average carbonation. Sweet, somewhat sugary on the finish with minimal bitterness, just more biscuits, white bread, straw. Simple lager. Easy drinking.

TESCO shelf beer, 330ml bottle: BBD 16 Jul 14, poured into a ’Chimay’ chalice at home on 26 Apr 14. The first beer in a ’random tasting evening’ I had with myself. Slight haze to my golden pour, the white head disappearing to an island, wisp and collar far to quickly. One of Hepworth’s better brews to be honest. The nose however was weak really, some yeastiness with maybe a squirt of Pink Grapefruit and some light maltiness. The taste followed that line also, mild yeast flavour mixed in with some citrus hints and an underlying mini sweetness from the malts.

Dark brown color, small beige head. Aroma is lactose toasted chocolaty. Light bodied, soft palate. Flavor has sweetish lactose and toasted, chocolaty flavors. Light hoppyness in the finish although this is more on sweet than bitterside. Decent sweet stout which would gain from a bit higher ABV.

50cl bottle. Dark brown, thin head. Oatmealy sweetness, roastedness in aroma, some chocolate notes. Flavor has roasted malt, oat, ashy dryness. Light to medium bodied. Not very interesting.

A colabrown beer with only a weak and beige head. The nose is quite nice, roastiness, some balancing and dark chocolate, also coffee. Taste have some sweet and dark malts, thus the roastiness is not too dominating, some dark bread. The end is quite dry with roasted coffee. Light+ bodied but slippery and nice. Quite simple, not too dry and roasted.
