Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks troubles. Black with a light brown head. Aroma of sweet milk chocolate, vanilla, some roastiness and a bit of licorice hints. Slightly sweetish flavor with chocolate, a bit of vanilla, some roasted coffee beans and a faint smoky note. Finishes drier with some coffee. Light to medium-bodied, fluffy mouthfeel. Nice.

20/10/2012 Ma che siewte venuti a fà (handpump). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma biancastra abbondante e persistente. Aroma piacevolmente sporco, cupo, di malti tostati, cereali, caffè. In bocca ha un attacco dolciastro, con note di pane nero e cereali, e un finale secco, pulito. Corpo leggero, lievemente watery, carbonatazione leggera. Una gran bella stout all’inglese ma con un suo tocco di originalità.

Bottle at Ma Che, Trastevere, Roma thanks to Manuelle- 02/10/12. Clear golden with no head. Sour lemon nose, light vinegar and a little piss. Sour lemon in the taste and other citrus tones. Medium bodied with a dry tarte slightly warming finish. Decent easy drinking lambic.
