Aroma of malt, sweet wine, fruits, oak, light barnyard funk. Flavour is moderate sweet and only moderate sour. Decent Gueuze, but the Black Label, which is one of my favourite beers, is so much better.

Bottle at home. Aroma of sweet candy sugar, malt, caramel. Flavour is sweet with a hint of sourness. Body is medium. Girardin make one of the best Gueuzes in the world, but even they can’t make a worthwhile Faro. Guess I just don’t like the style.

Bottle at M-Café, Leuven. Aroma of tart cherries, red fruits, oak, some funky notes. Flavour is very tart and moderate sour, with a little sweetness as well. Good body and nice balance. Not as stunning as some of the other classic Belgian Krieks, but a fine tasty specimen just the same.

Bottle at home. Aroma is red fruits, sweet raspberries, tart raspberries, cassis. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate tart with a touch of sourness. Body is medium. Okay, good raspberry aroma, but a bit too sweet and not sour enough for my taste.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is grainy with straw, soft fruits, green apples, wood, musty and earthy notes. Lightly funky. Mildly sour with an unexpected dry bitter flavour. Decent, not what I expected, not bad as a beer but not anywhere near what I want from my Lambic.

Аромат вроде и узнаваемый но сразу бросается нотки от каннабиса, именно пыльца от него, но понятно что это хмель, хотя очень необычный, есть даже как будто какая то горечь от травянистости, но есть и классика для этого стиля в виде аромата сена и загона для лошадей или каких то копытных животных. Цвет нормальный, чуть темнее чем обычно, пенка очень мыльная и долгая. Вкус очень странный, вроде бы и все есть но при этом есть вот эта пыльца от хмеля которая похожа на каннабис, и она мешает другим вкусом ноткам и вообще не к месту. В послевкусие все только усиливается и эффект травянистости на первом плане продолжается. В общем, все очень странно, я обожаю этот стиль, но это странно для меня. Плюс пиво очень сильно карбонизировано.

Bottle, 750 ml, courtesy of kajser27. Cloudy golden with white head. Funky, barrel, citric, wood, some barnyard. Good stuff.

Tap at ZBF. One of the better Pilsener brews of Belgium. It got some fruity candy taste and some sweet hoppy aftertaste. At last found the bottle version at the Schans, Uithoorn. This one got more caramel taste, and looks darker.
