33cl @ Willems, Belgium. Pours deep dark amber with a small creamy white head and lacings. Lots of dark fruit and chewy dark malts. Smooth and full bodied. Caramel and liquorice. Almost like a very good Old Ale. Vinous and complex. Dopeness.

Bottle at ZBF 2010. Hazy orange/golden pour with a decent head. Aroma of fruit and spice. Tastes quite complex, sweet, honey, caramel, malty, doughy. Very pleasant triple indeed.

Good, dark-beige head over deep hazy-amber-chestnut beer. Tarry, phenolic nose; chestnut flour, nectar. Sweet, liquorice; ethanol and higher alcohols, alcohol-seeped wood. Very well-bodied, creamy MF, alcohol, even brandy in the aftertaste. Nice, interesting. Wonder about their recipe, the blonde is equally nice.

Fast gone head, over clear orange-golden beer. Rainwater, wet moss, very fresh-smelling - as in a forest after a rainshower. Spices virtually undetectable in the nose. Sweet-ish, spicy, cumin, curry and honey - and all of this in just PERFECT balance, compositionwise. None of the flavours mentioned realy jumps out. Medium bodied, seems much lighter than it is - dangerous, I’d say. Long aftertaste, no new flavours. I’m impressed by this beer; it’s so balanced, despite the difficulties the ingredients impose: many brewers would end up with an undrinkable currysoup.
