Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Almost black. Maple syrup in the slaightly spicy aroma. Malty sweet, roasty slightly spicy flavor. Licorice, anis and coreander. The spices are not dominant, the beer is quite drinkable.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a very frothy and lively white head. Spicy, perfumy nose - interesting and pleasant. Medium body, rich, sweet fruitiness and again an interesting almost perfumy note. But there's also a yeasty and phenollic edge that isn't all that pleasant. Solid, late bitterness. 200819

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear brown with an orange hue and a creamy and lacing off-white head - very pretty. Very unusual, spicy nose that has both distinct oak and some peated iodine notes. Rich, sweet, dark roast. A little licorice and the subtle iodine note very present but never overpowering. The oak chips seem more Bourbon-like than anything else, which certainly adds to the beer in a positive way. A pleasant surprise. 260619
