Description
XT Brewing Co is an innovative, independent brewery crafting a wide range of exceptional beers. Our XT beers form the core range of characterful, full flavoured brews and our wild side, Animal Brewing Co, pushes the boundaries with new and exciting one-off specials. The options are as infinite as the natural world.

We designed and installed our 18 barrel brewery during 2011 and brewed the first full scale gyle in November 2011. The equipment was custom built for us in Burton upon Trent.

The brewery is on the beautiful Notley Farm estate on the Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire borders, with far reaching views over the Chiltern hills. We are as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible; recycling nearly all our waste products and our spent raw materials go to local farmers to feed their cattle and pigs.

Bottle @ Johns. Pours amber with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, little caramel, light bread, grass. Flavor is sweet, malt, grass, light fruity hops. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. 6-3-6-3-12. 170617

Bottle, 4.2%. Clear amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, biscuit, little toasted and hop. Flavour is malt, caramel, medium sweet, little toasted, little biscuit and a little bitter.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, fruits, malt, grass and hops. Sweet finish.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Vaguest of vague sweet floral malty aroma. Glossy black on first sight, but more of a dark cola brown on closer inspection. Thin bubbly beige head. Light bitter, however there is a sweet and sour element underneath that. Weak coffee. Roasts. Berries. Boiled Veg. Light bodied, Watery. Light carbonation. Long finish. Nothing to write home about. Drinkable but ultimately uninspiring.

Half-pint, cask, served in a mug at Bath Brew House, shared with Finn. Covering beige head, clingy lacing, near-clear copper coloured body. Leafy hops and grainy malts on the nose. Jam-like taste profile, moments of dried fruits, almond and mid-sweet malts. Malt-fruity ending. Medium bodied. Tasty stuff. (Bath 03.05.2017).

Cask at the Bootlegger, 21/05/17. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white head. Nose is melon balls, fresh grass, straw, soft bread, hint of peach. Taste comprises sweet malts, lemon curd, soft bread, apricot, mandarin. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with mellow hop bitterness. Decent refreshing gold.
