[November 2021] Near black with a frothy tan head and an earthy roasted malt and coffee aroma. Roasted malt, creamy coffee vibes and a lovely dry bitterness in the finish

Cask at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, gluey yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a light, slightly watery, malt, woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Exeter Arms, Derby. Pours a hazy chrome yellow with minimal off-white head but good lacing. The aroma has floral hops with some hints of spice. In the mouth it is sweet with floral hops, lemon, orange and generic citrus. Ginger is there too, but not as much as you would expect from the name. Finish is rather dry. This is quite nice and certainly very refreshing.
