Lively, clear pale yellow beer, quite bubbly but absolutely no head. Can't blame the brewery if the bottle is just gubbed but that doesn't change that this is one of the worst-looking beers I've ever had. It looks like limeade. Smell is light and hoppy. Flavour is better than it looks, but not by much. A bit of hop and zest but it doesn't taste of very much really, a little sweetness but it's some pretty low-rent golden ale this. I mean the style doesn't fill me with excitement anybody but this looks rough, is pretty thin and doesn't have much taste to it. Oh dear. Hopefully my bottle took a bump or something.

11/10/2020. Cask at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Havenstreet. Pours almost black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, toffee, vanilla and dark fruits. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Moderate body, smooth texture, soft carbonation. Nice roasty finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at Exeter Arms, Derby Pours a pale straw with a small white head and good lacing. Not much of a nopse – lust vaguely lemon. In the mouth the textuxe is creamy, and the major tastes are biscuit and restrained citrus, hints of lime and floral hops. Finish is bitter with some citrus. Not a bad beer but an overhyped one. One a CAMRA award for GBBF Beer of the Year in the Bitter Category – I don’t think it’s even the best bitter produced by Dancing Duck ! [ Prefer Brown Clough and Seduction ]

Cask at Exeter Arms, Derby Pours a pale straw with a small white head and good lacing. In the nose there is mainly lemon with some floral hops. Flavour in the mouth is mainly grapefruit together with grass, generic citrus and some hints of pine. The finish is bitter lemon – it was quite nice up until that point !

Cask at Exeter Arms, Derby Pours a greenish yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Not much of a nose, just vaguely lemon. In the mouth the texture is creamy and flavour dominated by summer fruits, but also hints of pepper, honey and peaches. The pepper comes to the fore in the finish. Note really my type of beer, but really nice.
