Cask conditioned at The Tottenham, London. Deep amber/copper colour, minimal head. Aroma of nuts and red fruits. Flavour is a bit alcoholic with a substantial hoppy bitterness, which leaves a nice aftertaste.

Cask conditioned at the Courtfield, Earls Court, London. Low head, some carbonation. Colour is amber to brown, I think (the pub was not well lighted). Modest aroma. Flavour is very much a "standard bitter", which is not necessarily a bad thing, but not very exciting either. Lacks a "fresh" touch. Reasonably bitter aftertaste.

Bottled. Deep ruby, clear, rich but quickly vanishing head. Aroma of malt and blueberries(!). Fruity and bold. Raisin, dates and licorice are prominent. Salty and rich, but with clean, simple malt profile. Warming peppery finish with lingering grassy hop bitterness. Packed with flavour, but points are deducted for it's plain malt profile.

Nice amber orange in coulour with slight haze. Some malt and hops in aroma, but very earthy notes in mouth with nuts and some bitterness. Good mouthfeel, creamy. Very nice beer.

Bottle – Poured a deep orangey brew with a medium head with average retention. Aroma of hops and sweetness is very enjoyable. Taste is very creamy with light bitterness. Floral aftertaste with a hint of sweetness. Above average English bitter. Make me wants to hunt down some more products from Adnams & Company Brewery.

Impressive pour, deep copper with a ruby hue - sweet aroma of raisins and candy - sweetness int he flavor is cloying at first, but once the palate adjusts, the roasty, hoppy undertones balance it out well - raisin, a touch of cherry - bready finish, some sticky sweetness - it's good!

There's nothing particularly bad about this beer, but there is nothing all that good about it either - there's something about it that I can't place that makes it seem like a "macro brew" take on an english pale ale - perhaps it's the initial, artificial, metallic, almost chemical flavor that presents itself before it actually begins to taste like beer - once it does, it's a relatively tasty pale ale, but the intro is hard to get over.

Strong bitter indeed! Aroma is nothing to speak of and the taste is VERY bitter. Probably one of the most bitter beers that I have had. Grape and malt scents. Pretty good but very bitter. The finish is...mmm bitter? Whats with the fish products??? (Read the label)

Amber color. Light malt aroma. Thin body, strong caramel and bitterness. Short. Nothing special.
