This brew is known either as Suffolk Strong or Adnams Extra Ale, depending on whether it is on cask or bottle. It is dry, hoppy, and woody. An excellent example of English pale ale.

Canned:
Pours pale, hazy brown. The small-ish head looks like a thick lid. Fruity, leafy aroma with notes of salty liquorice. Fruity flavour with earthy notes. Long bitterness with notes of chalk and salty liquorice. A very good canned ale!

Multiple bottles back in the day on football away trips. This was a daring (of the era) high boost offering to round off the return journey, more often than not from the Offie at the bottom of London Road then onto the train back to Bingoham from Leicester.
Malt forward, toffee, fruit cake tones, dates and stewed fruits. Boost was noticeable back then.
Decent enough strong.
