Hazy deep amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth turning mildly crisp. Minerals. Smooth creamy malt, light tangy dried fruits. Light touch of twiggy bitterness. Finishes smooth and dry with a mild bitter linger. The hops are not really shining as anything out the ordinary here, would not have known they were Aussie hops. But it’s all right.

Bottle@Baring Hall Hotel, Grove Park - pours a fuzzy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma and taste is sweet tropical fruits (nice grapefruit), sweet caramel malts, great hoppy bitter finish.

Bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. Very hazy, copper colour. Minimal, white head. Light spice. Some sweet malt. Nutmeg at the end. Taste is light spicy dryness. Thin palate. An odd, artificial sweetness comes through. Really didn’t like this.

Keg at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours mostly clear gold with a mellow, creamy white head. The nose holds zesty lemon, pale bread and ginger. Medium sweet flavor with rich, ripe lemon, some lemon candies, doughy wheat bread. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet and warming to finish with a bit more doughy bread, zesty lemon, sweet lemon meringue. Very nice stuff, actually.

Bottle at Bruce’s Birthday batch @Craft Islington. Cheers to Kenny! It pours cloudy pale orange with a small white head. The nose is earthy, wheat, salt, preserved lemon, must and earth. The taste is wood, doughy, earth, toast, ginger, lemon, candied peel and stew orange with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not a game-changer, but well-rounded and pretty drinkable stuff.

Keg at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear, amber-gold with a modest, off-white cream head. The nose holds lots of jammy berries, melon and bubblegum. Medium sweet flavor with more melon and bubblegum, some pine, light bready malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately resinous to finish with further juicy berries, light pine, orange and bubblegum, a bit of lightly toasted bread. Solid for the style. Good balance.

Keg at The Bat. 24th February 14. Coffee aroma, palate is good, nice coffee in the taste, almost too much a little one dimential and lacks the complexity of some, good smooth drink though
