Can from Hop Vault, Stourbridge, online. Pours black, small beige head, minimal retention. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, liquorice, milk chocolate. Very nice. Taste has a lovely balance with sweet milk chocolate contrasting with roast and bitter coffee notes. Very moreish. Medium bodied, smooth, fine carbonation. Excellent.

Hand-pulled half-pint at a beer festival in the Anvil (Shifnal, Shropshire) on 11th October 2024. A whole lot better than the base Stout in my opinion, this is richer, more boozy and smoother. Had two halves, just to make sure!

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear, almost black colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasted malt, dry ashtray. The flavour is moderate to light sweet and liquorice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, red berry fruit, dry, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Drink Valley Autumn Beer Festival. High regard for Fixed Wheel but this is a big disappointmwt. As a 3.5% Black Country Bitter I'd go for it, but as a 5.0% Citrus fruit fest it really fails

Cask at the Queens Head, Stourbridge at 4.4%. Pours pale gold with a small head. Aroma is sweet ginger and straw. Taste has started to start with a light, soapy, yeasty ginger finish. Soft mouthfeel.
