Bottle at home ... Thanks to Joris for this ... Deep wonderfull scarlet ruby red... Sharp touch vinegary but deep somthing aroma... ohh the flavour to this is intence... now im not a sour beer fan but this it on the Edge between love and loathing. The sourness of the flavour is definitly not my thing but what that same sourness does to the mouth feel is sublime.Flavour sharp bite sour but rich intence fruit and balsamic vinegar and possibly a touch of iron(as in flavour of blood). Im not sure i can describe it but the sumation for me is that i know this is a beer i want to restockmesandsim wedding dep brown burgendy ... thin tan lacing ... soft deep rich cherry fruit nose ... darl fruits juicy malts ... light blackcurrant sourness... hint if blood metalicness ... rich and complex and just so drinable 4.2EarthNUNDeep brown ... little red ... wonderfully complex nose ... deep fruits ... caramel malts ... and tart lambic nose ... oh my oh my this is suberb ... its got all the flavour and complexity of a sour but subdued .,.. tart and fruits ... rich soft malt tones ...mellow sweetness.4.4 Bottle at home.. (33cl bottle, courtesy of DerDoppelbock) Hazy, golden coloured effervescent hue with a big and creamy white foam, slowly lacing. Yeasty, moderately sweet and wheaty nose with strong spicy notes of coriander and clove, plastic-like phenols, but rather restrained citrus-fruity aspects. Light-sweet flavour, moderate wheat-character accompanied by strong spicy notes and a subdued fruitiness; light to medium bodied with a carbonation that could be a bit more spritzy; light-acidic, spicy and slightly sticky finish. Not that convincing.

Bottle. Unclear medium orange amber color with a large, frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, lemon, grass, moderate malty, hay, caramel, moderate yeast, yeast, notes of alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet and modrate to heavy heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Nice dry finish that ends in sweetness. Body is medium to full, texture is oily / syrupy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. ;o)) (111007)

Bottle. Unclear hazy medium amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty, moderate yeasty, notes of raspberry / peach. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average duration, and dry finish. Bottle. Light light unclear yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, citrus, notes of strawberry. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Very complex, tastfull and refreshing. Bottle. Vintage 2006. Pours a dark amber/grown color with a large longlasting off-white head. Has a malty spicy licorice aroma with hints of dark fruit. Smooth malty dark fruit flavor with spicy licorice and vanilla hints. Malty oak finish with hints of dark fruit in the aftertaste. Very nice!

Bottle. Brown, quite clear body, with a beige head. The nose starts quite coffee-ish, then there’s roasted malt, dried fruits and caramel. The flavor has coffee, roasted malt, caramel and something reminiscent of carrot cake. The body is maybe a bit thin, and quite sticky. Nice one, but I definately prefer Pannepot. (070914)

2006 bottle from tytoanderso; Nose of banana, vanilla, caramel, and dark fruit; clear rusty brown with a medium beige head; flavor sweet brown sugar, caramel, fig newtons, and light spices. Not as complex and spicy as my favorite Pannepot which I had to sample alongside this one. Great but not superb!

Sampled at the Odds and Ends Tasting II on 10/19/07 (2006 bottle): This beer pours in a lively way and is a deep brown color with a thick beige head that dissipates slowly. Sticky rings of lacing. Dark fruit, bready malt and sweet spice aromas intermingle nicely. Medium body with a refreshing complexity about it. Flavors of raisins, roasted malt, chocolate and spices are all present. The finish is fruity with a lingering spice and malt aftertaste. One of the better beers I have had lately.

33 cL bottle, thanks to Grovlam. Pours hazy orange with a hue white head. Grapefruit aroma. Flavour is fresh hoppy and grapefruity, I sense only a very minor malty sweetness. Dry as a bone. I get a hoppy-overload here - my tastepbuds are burned off - I need to rerate this again hoping that I can better handle this extremely hoppy brew. It is with no doubt a very great brew.
