Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy golden with a small, rough off-white head. A little citrusy hops - subtle though. Medium body, sweet overripe fruit and a little citrusy hops. Not overly crips hops though. Discreetly hoppy. 130612

Bottle sample at beerandbeyond farewell tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks troubles. Hazy amber. Nice hoppy aroma full of citrus, tropical fruits and pine. Flavor has some sweet malt, but is mostly hoppy, grapefruity and resinous with a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Gent, Belgium 26th May 2012 consumed at Garmisch Zugspitz campsite in Frank the camper Tues 29th May. Birrificio Indipendente Elav Punks Do It Bitter 4.3%. Pours amber with off-white head, some haziness but I had refridgerated it which to be fair hasn’t helped, not sure why I put it in the fridge. Soft in mouth and if truth be known even as this warms up it remains a little thin and watery. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

25 cl. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas // Italian Beer Festival // clear yellow, with a light touch of greenish citrus with a creamy white head // smells of citrus, exotic fruits & pine resin hops // taste is exotic fruit punch, caramel, tad sweet (due to the previous two things), peach, pine resin, sweet herbs, quite on the sweet as opposed to bitter side, especially considering the hoppy nature, hint citrus // m/m // my first English Pale Ale, one from Italy at that // apparently it is bit of a bogus style which doesn’t exist in the UK

Draught Yellowish-cream head over very hazy red-amber beer. USA hops, very fruity, some sulphur, and also pollen. Sweet-bitterish. Fruity as in lytchee, rosewater and leafy/blossoms. But the general impression is a tad lame, certainly for a beer that was announced for 9.5% ABV in the pub (mistake?). Warming up, more aromatic-fruity flavours arise, bit of banana. Well-bodied, tad viscous/(hop)oily, very light alcoholimpression. Quite nice, and easy drinkable (9.5%?), but certainly not stellar.

Draught Huge, dense & fine, slightly cream-coloured head over fully hazy golden-amber/honey coloured beer. Superb citrus-fruity nose, full of C-hops, light ureum & sulphur. Light fruity-citrussy flavour, but unlike a comparable UK bitter, if finishes sweetish-weak. Some lemonzeste, but as if diluted in water; Light, even thinnish-watery. Definitely misses cruelly some maltbacking - even if they were only neutral in taste.
