Description
For nearly twenty five years, our mission here at Smuttynose has remained the same: to brew the best beer we can in a way we can be proud of. That includes honoring New England’s rich beermaking history, respecting our environment, and playing an active role in our community.
We value creativity, quality, authenticity and sustainability, but it really boils down to making great beers to enjoy with friends and family. We hope you love drinking our beers as much as we love brewing them. Cheers!

Pours dark amber from the bottle. Foamy head. Nose is caramel and apple, a bit yeasty, spices. Taste is mildly sweet with a touch of sourness at the end. Body is medium, carbonation moderate. Good.

355 ml botlle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Black colour, large tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, prunes, raisins and chocolate. Soft mouthfeel. Medium sweet flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Fairly low bitterness. Enjoyable.

Very good IPA, especially if you're looking for a hoop beer with a fairly high IBU. Mild notes of citrus but overall it's not a particularly fruity beer. One of the better IPAs that I've had recently.

Taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is clear, golden yellow-light brown with tons of sparkle, white head with soapy lacing. Aroma is candied sugar, raisin, brandy, wheat. Taste is caramel, brandy, fruit. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with watery texture, soft carbonation and sweet finish. Overall, sweet but not quite to the cloying level--decent for the style.

Amber color with a fine tan head. Good lacing and a fine intensity in the aroma. Medium to full body and a mellow carbonation level. Balanced sweetness. Good drinkability. Bready, dried fruits, hoppy and toffee in the flavor. Nice evening sipper.

12oz canned last a December. Old. It still seems fine. Pretty cloudy dark rose pink colored. Pink bountiful head that fades quickly and loudly. Aroma is moderate natural tartness with a strong mild cherry aroma. Not fake smelling but I'm guessing still fake. Just not that over the top fakeness. The base wheat beer seem to not get in the way. Flavor has that wonderful, moderate, natural tartness and light cherry syrup mixed with seltzer flavor. Tingling carbonation in the end and it leaves you with tartness and essence of berry. I bought this on discount for a $1, should go back and stock up.
