Description
Opened on 14th May 1997, The Inveralmond Brewery is at the very heart of our beer. Situated in Perth, the brewery nestles between the fabulous rolling hills of Perthshire, the mighty Grampian mountain range and is surrounded by crystal clear rivers, providing inspiration and nourishment for the beers we produce and export around the globe.

The brewery moved during March 2010 to their current location where a 30BBL plant is used. During April 2016 they were taken over by Innis & Gunn.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 08. Amber beer with lasting bubbly beige head. Bready yeasty biscuity aroma of an 80 shilling. Some fruit in mouth. Lots of caramel biscuit. Slightly cheesey on the aroma. Some spicy hop on finish. It’s and 80 shilling that isn’t great.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Straw with a white head; citrus aroma with hints of honey and wet grass; sharp citrus bite, tart and bitter; a quinine bitter finish, let down slightly by a hint of hospital disinfectant.

Bottle, many thanks to Craig for this one, had this 03-02-08 Pours dark brown bit murky looking. Good malty aroma with some hops. Taste is very, very good wonderful hoppiness I was quite taken aback by the great hoppy bitterness in this as I anticipated that it would be mostly sweet and quite alcohol laden, and whilst there was some sweet malts it was the impressive hoppy bite to this that really made this beer stand out. Loved it once again cheers Craig.

Bottled (BB 04/2009)
Chestnut brown color, decent beige head. Aroma of nutty hops, coffee and chocolate.Roasted malty, chocolaty flavor, not very strong palate as expected from 4,7 % beer. Nutty hops, cocoa chocolate bars and some caramel. Nicely rounded, a bit like some milds from UK. Late bitterness. High-quality "lower alcohol" brew.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms JDW, Bristol 16/11/07. Amber with a decent off-white head. Sweet malt aroma with some roasted notes and a touch of nuttiness. Flavour had some malt, chocolate dusting, a hint of smoke and a long dry finish. A complex, enjoyable beer.

Bottled (thanks cgarvieuk). Amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is saltwater, grass and hops. Flavour is grass, hops and slight hayishness. Rather harsh and sharpedged. Slightly cooked vegetables when it warms up (both in aroma and flavour).

500 ml bottle, bought at Peckham’s, Glasgow. Deep amber to copper coloured beer, decent off-white head. Lovely fruity aroma, also notes of malts and caramel, hints of spices. The flavour is fairly fruity and moderately malty, with distinct hops throughout, also notes of toffee. Well balanced. A very nice bitter!
