Bottle 65 cl. Pours a clear deep golden with a white head. Intensely hoppy aroma, herbal bordering wild. Solid body, fruity and distinctly herbal - really appears as if spices or herbs are added, but it’s probably just the hops. Plenty of piney edges as well. Dry and hoppy finish without being overly bitter. 280412

Bottled. A dark red beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, citrusy hops, malt, and dust, leading to a very bitter finish.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Hazy light orange with a white head. Sweet, malty, caramel and rather hoppy - citrus and pine. Flavor is quite sweet and very bitter. Dry and very bitter finish. 270412

Draft. A hazy dark amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, straw, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, caramel sauce, lemons, and alfa acid, leading to a very bitter finish.

On tap at Gourmet Haus. Amazing chocolate nose. Pours opaque with big brown head clinging down sides. Great chocolate and coffee follows with a surprising medium mouthfeel. Falls off quickly but still tasty.

Poured up on tap at the Pleasanton Hopyard with deep amber body and thin copper edges as well as a tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up smooth roasty malts mixed with a bit of chocolate malts, nutty maltiness and a touch of pine hops. The taste creates notes of malts, sweet nuttiness, a bit of pine hop bitterness and just a pinch of sweet dark fruity esters toward midway and into the finish. Yummy stuff.

Poured up on tap at the Pleasanton Hopyard with clear copper body and gold edges as well as a nice looking white foam head that leaves behind some lacing. The aroma is spicy and sugary sweet malts and then quickly picks up thick citrus notes like tangelo and grapefruit and some clementine. The taste delivers a nice resiny hoppiness with grapefruit, tangelos and a touch of lime. To midway a bit of mango and spicy hops join in with resiny bitter pine hoppiness. Darn easy drinking and enjoyable IIPA.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, CA. Pours very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is sort of chocolate and malt. Near full bodied. Flavor is like dark milk chocolate, with some coffee, and a sort of sour mash burnt malt touch. The sour aspect seems to leave with time, and the coffee comes out more. Finishing dry and a bit earthy (heh heh).
