Description
The brewery farmhouse in Kerkom (anno 1878) is so much more than just a brewery or a farm. It has become the road house of dreams from walkers, cyclists, beer tasters and pleasure lovers, where everyone has a good time. The Kerkom Brewery is 100% traditional and proud to be so. This is namely a place where real beer is still brewed. From the hops to the Bink beer, every step of the process is done manually. A beer with a story and hence a real experience !

Bottle, 0.33l. Murky deep copper/brown pour, two finger creamy beige head, long lasting. Sticky lacing on the glass. Malty on the nose, toasted caramel, sugary notes, yeast. Ripe fruits in the background. Medium body, medium carbonation, lively. Average mouthfeel and texture, slightly chewy, fizzy, easily drinkable. Sweet taste with some moderately strong bitter notes in the background. Aroma of toasted caramel, molasses, candy. Yeast, bread, ripe fruits. Spices and honey notes in the background. Slightly sticky. Lingering alcohol, dry, bitter, warming. Long lasting finish, dry, slightly liquory, somewhat harsh bitterness. Enjoyable but slightly unbalanced.

bottiglia 33 cl, 8,5% vol., schiuma bianco sporco fine pannosa persistente, color ambrato carico torbido con lieviti in sospensione, al naso lieviti belgi succo di pera zucchero filato banana, in bocca succo di pera frutta candita note erbacee, corpo rotondo, lieve astringente, bella secca, carbonatazione decisa, dolce con amaro accentuato. (Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 24.11.2027, at Stadin Panimobaari, 20241101) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly tanned. Aroma had toasted malts, candi sugar, grass and spicy yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, grass, candi sugar, spicy yeast and bitterness. Aftertaste was dry, and had toasted malts and bitterness. A tasty malty brew with subtle sweetness and yeasty notes.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy copper pour, one finger frothy white head, long lasting, thick lacing on the glass. Yeasty nose, floral, ripe fruits in the background. Medium body, medium carbonation, lively. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, refreshingly fizzy. Nicely balanced bittersweet taste. Aroma of yeast, malt, ripe fruits, citrus peel. Bready notes, spice, grassy hops. Subtle alcohol in the background. Medium to long lasting finish, dry, lingering hop bitterness. Good.

Medium body, medium carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, slightly fizzy. Easily drinkable. Nicely balanced bittersweet taste. Aroma of dark malt, toasted caramel, yeast, bread. Spice, brown sugar, dried fruits, raisins, figs. Subtle lingering alcohol, drying, slightly sticky. Mild hops in the background. Medium lasting finish, slightly liquory. Not bad.

Medium body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, creamy. Goes down quite nicely. Aroma of dark malt, toasted caramel. Light roastines. Sweet, brown sugar, molasses, dark fruits. Bready, notes of chocolate and coffee. Alcohol lingering in the background, dry and warming. Long lasting finish. Tasty.

Medium body, lively carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, fizzy. Bittersweet taste, slightly unbalanced with bitterness on the harsher side. Aroma of yeast, caramel, ripe fruits, citruses. Herbal notes, spice, minerals. Earthy, pine notes. Alcohol notes in the background, warming. Long lasting finish, dry, liquory, lingering bitterness. Not bad.
