2012 bottle shared by ClarkVV. Nose is rich malt and red wine vinegar. Tastes of currants, vinegar, malty, raisins, oaky, red wine. Puckering sourness. Intense stuff.

750mL bottle drunk 8/28/25.
Clear, amber-cherry-copper. Small, off-white head quickly to ring.
Strong, rich, malty, acidic, some acetic, light currant but not too much acetic. Big barrel, big, rich malts and round, rich oak tannin.
Rich, soft, malty, strong and acidic. Mostly lacto thankfully, not vinegary acetic, but still very acidic and intense. Honey, biscuit, oak tannin all create a soft, round near syrupy body. This beer is intense as fuck, I can't even fathom this 13 years ago. Good Lord.

Appearance: pours straw-yellow and hazy, with no head.
Aroma: subtle yet complex—grassy hop character layered with farmhouse funk and tart fruit tones, including lemon, passion fruit, pineapple, and a whisper of peach.
Flavor & Mouthfeel: starts modest then unfolds into delicate spiciness, hay-like malt nuances, and a restrained fruit profile. A discreet bitterness and a slightly muted finish hint at a refined balance. Medium body with moderate carbonation offers a clean, smooth drinking experience..

Gift bottle. Hazy orange-gold body with only small patches of foam Aroma: a layered bouquet of tropical and citrus fruits – juicy orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, and ripe mandarin – complemented by delicate floral notes, resinous undertones, and a subtle coriander-like spice. Flavor: silky, slightly creamy entry, followed by an intense fruitiness accented by a fresh, well-integrated tartness. Notes of citrus, mandarin, and grapefruit merge with floral and resinous facets. A moderate yet persistent bitterness lingers on the palate, harmonizing with the beer’s complex aromatic profile. Overall: exceptionally balanced and dangerously drinkable for a Triple IPA of this strength.
