Flasche („Keesmann Weiße“, 5 %) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Sattgelb, milchig trüb, nicht so unsinnig viel Schaum wie andere Weizenbiere. - In der Nase milde weizige Fruchtnoten, kandierte Orangenschale, vielleicht etwas Nelke. - Antrunk typisch weizenmalzig aber recht herb-fruchtig mit angenehmer, spritziger Säuerlichkeit. Für ein Weizenbier recht schlank und erfrischend rezent. Zart nussige Noten; im Abgang milde Zitrusfrucht- und Kräuterherbe. - Schönes Hefeweizen, nicht dick und süß sondern erfrischend fruchtig-herb.

At the source in Bamberg-Germany, Keesmann brewery. Reports are quite contradictory one from the other so I must admit I was very lucky in finding this batch in such a great shape. Pours a deep/bright and filtered golden color, medium white cap. Nose is distinctively lemony, mild maltiness and n herbal hint. Mouth: soft carbonation makes it easy drinking, citric character is very soft but persistent. It stays crisp and super fresh. Liked it very much and can’t wait to return and re-test it.

Tap at the brewery. Deep golden color, clear, orange tints, and a fine, high head. Malty, biscuity nose, apricots, peaches, oranges. A bit strong and boozy with sweet malts and stone fruits and esters. Bitter finish. Sweet and strong, not subtle. Light, thin body. Not much happening, for the booziness.

Tap at the brewery. Glowing orange-amber with a tight, fine head. Fruity hop nose, apricots, a bit of caramel, bread, oranges. Malty but dry flavor, very fruity, oranges and stone fruits, caramel. Very smooth ans silky body. Light gas. Not the best in its style, but solid.

Tap at the brewery. Bright, clear gold with a thin, fine head. Malty, biscuit nose, grass and herbs. Sweet and malty flavor, but clean. Biscuits, lemony hops. Tasty and clean. Great body. Very sueffig and tasty. A bit too sweet, but nice.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 27 Feb 2015) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with grass, bread, a touch of citrus and dried fruit. Malty taste with notes of bread, dried fruit, peaches, cereal and fresh grassy hops in a finish with a gentle bitterness. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Balanced and quite tasty, but hardly exceptional. Quite drinkable.

Corny malty aroma with lots of sweet notes. Pours a yellow color with a white head. The taste is sweet, almost cloyingly so, with not too much balance.

Tap@Akkurat. Självrunnen version. Grumlig vätska med tjockt skumlock. Doftar jordkällare och gräs. Gräset återkommer i smaken. Fantastiskt mjuk och len munkänsla med en snudd på perfekt harmoni mellan sötma och beska. Riktigt god bira!
