Smooth-sweetish and malty beginning. Hints of roast, quite dry. Bitter espresso hints, fresh smooth maltiness. The aftertaste is long, malty-bitter, smooth-fresh. Hints of burned sugar, quite light in the body. Not too sticky, caramel aftertaste with not much sweetness. Nice.

200ml bierprobe vom Fass in the lovely biergarten of Cafe Abseits. Clear straw coloured body. Filmy white layer blanketing the glass. Fair noble hops on the nose. Grass hoppy flavours added by a touch of mid-sweet malts. Soft carbonated. Rounded and clean on the swallow. Well made pilsener (Bamberg 09.10.2014).

From tap at Cafe Abseits, Bamberg. Light hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is malty bready, grainy, grassy hoppy. Light sweet and light bitter, like the aroma. Thin oily body, average carbonation.

Keg at GBBF 2014. It pours clear deep amber with a thick white head. The nose is doughy, brown, grainy, light caramel, cake and fruit cake. The taste is crisp, malt-driven, brown bread, toasted grass and earth with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded and quaffable.

Orignally keg at GBBF 2014. It pours clear pale gold with medium white head. The nose is creamy, grassy, doughy, straw and cereal. The taste is crisp, creamy, grassy, mild bitterness, pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Crisp, creamy and very quaffable. 3.6 Bottle in 2020. Lovely stuff overall. Fresh, grassy, kind of herbal and bitter. Quenching and moreish. A classy number. 3.9
