50 cl bottle, BBE 02.03.2012
Rather light, empty and somewhat stale aroma with sweetish malt and some honey. Flavour is metallic with some sweetish honey and hints of solvent‐like, stinging alcohol. Too sweet and too strong on savors.

First had this beer in Berlin, but shared it with my wife and friends, didn’t review it back then, but seeing a bottle of it in a glass fronted fridge behind the bar at The Cask Pub and Kitchen, London, I thought I’d have a full bottle to myself. Usual Pilsner look, bright, clear, clean and golden: on top a thin white head which hung around for a while before disappearing to form a flimsy collar. Mild hop aroma; gets my standard score of 3 for a mostly non-smelling Pilsner/Lager. Crisp, tangy, the same as all those other German Pilsners I’ve had over the years, some hop content which is half noticeable and it’s a refreshing beer, but no real substance or depth of character. Another run of the mill Pilsner, fine but no great excitement from my taste buds. I thought it had something about it when tried in Berlin, must have been mistaken.

500ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with small macropore white head. Sweet caramel malt aroma, a sweet note that comes near to strawberry, minimal spicy note. Sweet malty taste, rather light, fresh hop note in the end. Not too heavy - drinkable.

Draught @ Akkurat. Notes of vegtables, apricots and sweet white bread. Burned aftertaste, with an annoying strange bitterness. OK.
