About

16 ounce can. Amber color topped by a frothy white head. Sweet corn syrup aroma. Bittersweet flavor out of the gate. Slightly sweet caramel flavor that quickly yields to bitter peppery hops. The lack of malt lets this ale get to bitter and dry. Not good, but a notch above most other gluten free ales I have tried.

Can: Poured a murky amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of fruity hops with light bitter hops notes with some light grainy notes. Taste is mostly dominated by fruity hops with light bitterness notes detectable and some grainy notes and light residual sugar notes also perceptible. Body is full with OK carbonation and no apparent alcohol. This one did not have the hops presence I was hoping for but still very pleasant and hides well some of the speciality grain used in this beer.

A golden beer with a thin white head. In aroma, loads of Safran and bubblegum, coriander, interesting. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with bubblegum, light meaty notes, safran, grapefruit, interesting. Cask at Mondial 2015.

Can from Hastings Liquor, Vancouver
Hazy blond color, small head. The mouthfeel is very dry, the malt flavor is soft although it lacks a bit the depth that would be provided by the malt, the hopping is powerful but not bright, and the final is a bit papery.
Would be a valid alternative for gluten intolerant drinkers, for other drinkers it’s on par with a dry semi-industrial Pale Ale.

Light golden, floral and some old c hop nose. Bitter, the grains are sweet and more or less buried by hops. Good beer

Olfactif aromatique. Notes poivrées, fines herbes conifères, fruits tropicaux et mangue. Complexité remarquable. Puissance moyenne. Liquide clair de couleur or pur.

Can - Butterscotch and caramel. Cloudy gold with a decent with a nice white head. Dry bitterness, odd caramel and bitter vegetal notes. Normally fine, but not great.

500mL can, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a tiny white head. Nose brings out boiled vegetables, grains, and light hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with boiled vegetables, light hops and dry graininess. Herbal, vegetal and skunky. Not the best, but not a disaster.
