Description

Can: Poured a clear bright golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light hoppy notes with light grainy malt notes. Taste is also dominated by light hoppy notes with some grainy malt notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but fell a bit short on the hops flavours in my opinion.

Can: Poured a clear brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and small lacing. Aroma of light grainy malt base with dry caramel notes. Taste is also a mix of dry caramel malt with some grainy notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Standard red ale with limited hops and more grainy malt base than usual due to use of alternate grains.

4-pack of cans from my local Métro store. Pours a clean dark amber colour with a big frothy-creamy beige head, great retention and thick lacing. Some nice aromas of roasted malts (or whatever grain is burnt) with the sweetness of caramel. At times, some grassiness from the hops. The taste is a little different, like most gluten-free brews but had their typical apple flavours in the finish with a little dryness. Hints of nuts are fighting to show. Goes down nicely like most of their beers. Pretty decent for the style, for a g-free one.

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of light tropical fruit and vinous notes is very unique and intriguing. Taste is also dominate by tropical fruit notes with some vinous notes light mineral and some grainy notes. Body is full enough with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very unique with high-level of complexity and akin to white wine.

Bottle - Herbal, sweet and citrusy and very floral. Clear gold with a gushing white frothy head. Sweet, grassy, herbal with a some light bitterness. Peppery and actually much better than I expected. Light and flavorful with a very nice body.

At a tasting, thanks Tom L, small stable bubbly head, clear palish gold color, light herbal hoppy aroma with some cereals, grapefruit bitterness, husky and metalic notes, hard to drink. Not good.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Stas’s place. Thanks Tom L. Clear pale yellow with a white head. Strange cereals aroma with slightly stale hops. Strange grainy flavor, kinda soapy, somewhat husky, with stale hops and some bitterness. Light-bodied. Quite unpleasant.

Bottle: Poured a clear brown color ale with a small off-white foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of grainy malt notes with light chestnut notes also perceptible. Taste is a mix of unrefined grainy notes with light caramel malt notes with chestnut and limited residual sugars. Body is about average with good carbonation. Interesting beer for sure but I believe this beer could have benefited form a bigger malt profile.
