Description

Can. The best gluten free beer to date. Deep dark brown in color with a tan head. Taste was mocha, roasted grains and a bitter/sweet finish.

500ml bottle, clear golden pour, small white head. Incredible tropical fruit aroma, loads of mango, and pineapple with some tangerine. mouth feel is a tad thin, and the carb is almost flat. The finish is more mango, with some pineapple in the finish. Medium to high bitterness, with some citrus pith. The alcohol is nowhere to be found, this drinks like a 5% beer. The end is vinous, with a hit of acidic fruitiness. The sweetness is dominant throughout, but not over powering, and adds to the complexity. Very impressive beer.

Clear dark brown pour, with a tiny white head. Sweet cereal aroma, light fruitiness, toasted nuts, lightly burnt brown sugar. Watery mouth feel, almost flat carb. The finish is medium bitter, with some muddy malts, and sweet grains with some heavy sherry, boozy notes.

Interesting aroma, spicy pepperiness you expect from the style with very savoury herbs in the nose. Lots of rosemary and thyme, with some green tea, green grassy herbs, and lemon zest. Spot on mouth feel, and lively carb for the style. The finish is medium bitter, with the same savoury herbs, but some very green hops also. An interesting take on the style. Pleasant.

Hazy brown pour, small off white head. A very odd aroma. First whiff is lemon drop candies and very sweet, yeasty, bready malts. As it warms it goes from lemon to cherry candies and an all around over the top fruitiness. Mouth feel is viscous, and the carb is very soft. The finish is increibly sweet and cloying. Loads of strong sweet fruit, and cloying yeasty malts. I couldnt finish it.

Can. Pours a murky burnt orange, with a small off white head. Aroma. Is incredibly grassy, and oddly sweet, and nothing resembling hops. Mouthfeel is thin, and watery, carb is very soft. Finish is sweet, grassy, lightly butter with some odd caramel, tropical fruit think going on. What the hell is this?

Can from the lcbo. Aroma of musty apples, wet paper, buckwheat, and some light lemon zest. The body is watery, the carb is good. The finish lacks any bitterness, finishes slightly sweet, with an odd wheat/apple thing going on. Yuck.

Amber in color with a two-finger head. Aroma is grains, kind on the hoppy side. Taste is grains, and a little bitter and not in a good way.
