Description

16 oz. can purchased at Earth Fare, Viera, FL. Pours a cloudy gold color with a white head and very good retention. Good lacing. Has a sour-ish light hoppy aroma. Faux beer flavor with a faint hops finish. I guess it's okay if you have to be gluten free, but I don't. Tick.

Pint can, Wine Warehouse. Murky golden pour with an off-white head. Aroma smells like wheat (I guess it's not), coriander, light citrus, yeast. Flavor is yeast, coriander, light citrus, glue, earth, light roast... not wheat flavor, that's for sure. Not bad, but I guess it's the buckwheat that makes it taste off.

75 cl bottle, 2015 vintage. It pours hazy dark amber with a short-lasting, tan head. Aroma is green chilli peppers, biscuit, period. Pungent and sweetish to begin with, rather aggressive and unbalanced. Long-lingering finish with the taste of some chemical product used to mop the floor. Terrible.

Lys brun lett tåkete med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter hjemmebrent og blomster. Middels bitter ett eller annet, og dårlig hjemmebrent. Helt for jævlig. Noe galt med boksen min kanskje?

Can, at Duggfrisk. It's a lightly hazy orange colored beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Some lacing. Piney, lightly peachy with orange zest. Not much malts detected, which of course is correct. Not much aroma of the fermentables is a bit more precise. The same goes for the flavor, the hops run the show, leaving a decent bitterness and piney and tropical fruit flavors. It's full-bodied and nicely carbonated, with a smooth carbonation. A bit sweetish perhaps. Long piney, fruity finish. A nice IPA. Considering it's gluten free I might say it's delicious. 170819

Can, at Duggfrisk. Almost clear in the glass, reddish brown in color, with a dense beige head leaving some curtains. Lightly roasted aroma with some hints of dried fruits and sugar, and a faint note of nuts. There's a light bitterness in the mouth, something earthy too, and also the nutty hints and dried fruits found in the aroma. A light roasted flavor too. Full to medium body, equally sweet and dry, with a pleasant carbonation. Medium length finish. Sure not bad this one either. 170819

Pounder: Hazelnut and charred oak nose. Black, thin head. Charred oak, raisin, cola. Light body, easy carbonation, waxy. Good balance, nice flavors coaxed out of non-traditional grains.

Can, at Duggfrisk. An orange colored beer with a finger-thick white head. Fruity, lightly yeasty aroma with citrus, orange and lime notes, some pale malts (sic) and a spiced touch. It has a pleasant, soft bitterness in the mouth, it's medium to full-bodied, with a nice carbonation level. Dryish, yet sweet flavor with pale malt flavors, orange, lime peel hints, some yeast and a touch of spice. Can't say it reminded me of coriander seeds only, just a generic spiced touch, almost like if the yeast was responsible. Long fruity finish. A nice one, especially considering it's made without malt. 170819

On tap. Pours a hazy amber with a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of grainy malt, caramel, lemon peel, grapefruit, pine and light floral. Sweet flavour of grainy malt, caramel, lemon peel, orange, grapefruit and pine resin with a dry, bitter, spicy hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. This was surprisingly good. The best G-F beer I've ever tried. Could almost pass for a regular double ipa.
