Cask stillage at the Foots Cray Rugby Club Beer Festival, April 2015. Amber pour with a white head. Orchard fruit and caramel aroma. Lots of sweet fruit and spice in the flavour. Not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 7/5/2015. Golden with a thin, white, head. Light, cereal mlats, a hint of citrus fruit and leafy hops before a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

From cask at Lass O’Gowrie 08.05.15. Clear, pale straw colour.Persistent off-white head. Very moderate, fruity aroma. Moderate taste, with some bitterness and malt in aftertaste.

From cask at Lass O?Gowrie 07.05.15. Black. Foamy beige head. Aroma of coffee, black malt and star anise. Similar taste. Low drinkability.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Horse and Jockey, Litchfield on 25th April 2015. Clear light golden pour with a full white head. Strange aroma and taste, dry grapefruit and other semi-sour citrus notes throughout didn’t do it for me at all. Others may well love this style, but I am fed up to the teeth with them. Scored objectively.

Cask @ Peter Kavanagh’s, Liverpool. Golden-amber with a creamy head. Has a lovely fruitiness to it with a low citrus among its hops with small grapefruit notes evident.

Cask at Lloyds bar. Pours black, nose is smoky, meaty, roasted chocolate, taste is similar, quite dry and bitter, lots of chocolate.

Hazy golden - amber beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. The malts are thin and very slightly lactose and thin malt cream. Touch of apple. Pithy citrus, mild marmalade. Floral bitterness. Pretty dry and bitter finish. Slightly skewed but okay.
