Warped Wing Brewing Company·Friday, February 7, 2020·
Warped Wing Brewing Co. is a craft brewery inspired by Dayton's rich history of innovation and invention. We are committed to carrying that spirit forward in today's craft beer scene by brewing new proprietary beer styles and our own "warped" interpretations. We also focus on creating unique seasonal and specialty beers.
We have a full-scale production brewery in the heart of downtown Dayton in the site of the old Buckeye Brass & Iron Foundry circa 1938. We brew and distribute our beers to local restaurants, bars, grocery and retailers in the Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus and Toledo markets. Our Taproom also features a full service kitchen.
In addition to distributing our beers, we have an industrial style Taproom where guests can sample our various beer offerings while appreciating views of the downtown skyline or the cathedral of stainless steel. If you are on-the-go, we sell growlers, package beer and kegs to share with friends off-site.

Can. A- Malty, molasses. A- Dark copper color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Malty, bready, mild molasses, caramel. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- This was okay. Pretty one dimensional. I have the maple barrel aged one I am holding one to and excited for but this base beer kind of pulled back on the excitement a bit.

Hazy orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of herbal hop, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of floral hops, tangerine and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly hoppy with a tangerine and hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Poured a golden color with a very wispy head. Aroma was sweet malts, lots of tequila and mezcal. Flavor was sweet malts, boozy agave and woody barrel. Light tropical fruits hidden among the barrel. 375ml bottle at the DC area socially distant Fall 2020 tasting.

375ml bottle pours a dark gold, no head. Nose has a lot of candy sugar and lots and lots of mezcal, paint thinner, agave. Flavors follow, booze, candy, pineapple, mezcal/tequila. Full bodied, sticky finish.

Mezcal is huge here. Not much tripel to go around. Some citrus. Pours orange amber with ok head. Way too much mezcal. Bottle.

Draft. A- Booze. A- Black color, black liquid, tan head. T- Alcohol, brandy, cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- This was pretty boozy. Apple brandy barrels, when done right can be outstanding. So many breweries just can't quite get them. I am mixed on this. The brandy really kind of overpowers the beer and gives off too much boozy feel to it. A solid beer but perhaps the worst of the Argonauts. Good, not great.

Draft. A- Rye, whiskey, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, tan head. T- Soy sauce, rye, oak, whiskey, cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- The rye whiskey is the powerhouse here. It kind of overtakes the beer but if you take the time you can find the dark fruits, mild sweetness, and other traits of the baltic porter. Really complex and tasty. One of the best Argonauts. I thought the Port barrel would be my favorite but this might have outdone that.

Draft. A- Bailey's, vanilla, caramel, fudge. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Vanilla, cream, caramel, dark fudge. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Didn't get a lot of coffee but really tasted like Bailey's Irish Cream. Sweet but not cloying. Very tasty stuff.

Draft. A- Orange, vanilla. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Orange, vanilla. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- The orange and vanilla really create a natural ice cream flavor. The blonde cream ale is there but the flavors really do shine. Nice stuff.
