Description
Warped Wing Brewing Company·Friday, February 7, 2020·
Warped Wing Brewing Co. is a craft brewery inspired by Dayton's rich history of innovation and invention. We are committed to carrying that spirit forward in today's craft beer scene by brewing new proprietary beer styles and our own "warped" interpretations. We also focus on creating unique seasonal and specialty beers.

We have a full-scale production brewery in the heart of downtown Dayton in the site of the old Buckeye Brass & Iron Foundry circa 1938. We brew and distribute our beers to local restaurants, bars, grocery and retailers in the Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus and Toledo markets. Our Taproom also features a full service kitchen.

In addition to distributing our beers, we have an industrial style Taproom where guests can sample our various beer offerings while appreciating views of the downtown skyline or the cathedral of stainless steel. If you are on-the-go, we sell growlers, package beer and kegs to share with friends off-site.

This brew is a dark brown color with some chestnut around the edges and a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, dark fruit and yeast in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, dark fruits and a touch of earthy hops. The finish is fruity with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

This beer pours a hazy golden color with a medium white head that evaporates quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of mildly spicy hops, citrus and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

07/10/18. Dunno if it's just my mind but Vic secret hops always jump out at me. Whenever the nose is juicy but also a bit weird, and not in a bad way, kinda like overly papaya. Nice unique IPA, strong hop back along with bitter notes.

Sample at Pies & Pints Easton during the "Mega Tap Takeover with Columbus Brewing Company" event on 05/15/2018. Clear straw-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of lime, vanilla and slight hops. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, lime, vanilla and hops. The finish is key lime pie and a touch of hops. Pretty good all around.

Canned 7/9, drunk 7/28/18.
Lightly hazy, soft-toned, canary-to-brass gold. White head atop is small but shows modest retention.
Light pineapple mixes with some other soft, fairly playful yellow fruits though there is a light pine edge to things, as well. Sparse malts show light cracker and biscuit and the beer seems well-attenuated with no alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it has light interludes of juice, though it's very fruity throughout, with varying degrees of soft malt and harder cracker. Pine comes and goes, as well, with a substantial bitterness yet softer tangerine, pineapple and lemon notes. Clean, low yeast character, no alcohol noted.

Sample at Daily Growler UA during the "3rd Annual Infusapalooza (TM) + Taquitos Food Pop-Up" event on 05/11/2018. Clear pale golden color with a thin head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of tart citrus, ginger and yeast. Light body with flavors of lime, ginger, yeast and malt. The finish is mildly tart with a lime aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft. A- Grassy, vegetal, slightly sweet, rotten melon. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Old melon, vegetal, earthy, slightly sweet, mild tartness. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, astringent finish. O- Watermelon and salt go hand in hand, however, watermelon beer is very hit or miss. This was a good concept but didn't pull it off for me. Watermelon came across as vegetal and skunky. Salt was very minimal as was the tartness. This just didn't work.

375ml capped bottle. Look if you like mezcal this is the beer for you. If not, I'd skip it. The tripel is mild, not estry, a little lemon zing. Could be more complex malt but it's the barrel that matters.

Refrigerated 375ml brown bottle poured into a glass. Black with small light brown head. Aroma is port, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is chocolate, dark malt, wood, and a little port. Hoped for more port, but still good.
