12oz can pours a deep amber with some sticky, beige head. Nose is layered with cocoa powder, bread crust, nuts, toast, some light roast coffee, nougat. Flavor falls off a bit, mostly just malt and brown sugar and toast, bread, chewy grains. Finishes dry and a touch spicy. All over the place.

12 oz. can from thebaldwizard. Thanks Joe! It pours a very pale, mostly clear yellow color with a small, creamy lasting head. The aroma jumps out with fresh baked bread, lemon and light herbal lemongrass notes. The flavor is pretty much the same with dense bready, lightly doughy malts. Hints of concrete and earthy, lemony hops are present, but not strong. The body is kind of full and bready/yeasty yet dry and well attenuated. Decent, but the concrete notes, full body and over lemony hops keep it from being super refreshing.

Can from thebaldwizard. Thanks Joe! It pours a lightly hazed burnt orange color with a good sized foamy off white head. The aroma has some strong orange and piney hops backed by noticeable toasted/caramel/toffee-like malts. The hops are more prominent though with some sweet grapefruit in there as well. The flavor has the same toasted/toffee-like maltiness with strong piney and spicy hops. Grapefruit and florals in the finish. The body is light, but the maltiness gives it some substance. Very classic "C" hop character with citrus, floral and pine. The finish is strongly bitter. Overall, not bad. It comes across as more of an old school APA.

12oz can pours a clear orange/red with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose has orange peel, malt, a little dried apple, some herbs, some light pine. Flavor is a touch stale on the malt/grist side, orange and orange peel, dehydrated apple slices, a little light brown sugar. Finishes dry.

Sample at the CCBW Six One Pour festival on 05/20/2016. The beer pours a hazy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates quickly to a film. Short strings of lacing. Floral and fruity aroma with some malt. Light-bodied with flavors of oak, floral yeast, spiced fruit and malt. The finish is mildly spicy with a berry aftertaste. Decent overall.
