Pours a light golden yellow, with good-sized, but quickly-dissipating head. Aroma is quite grassy, with some fruit--berry and citrus. Flavor is very fruity, with tropical flavors, citrus, some pine/spruce notes. Fairly sweet beer, though not overpowering. Bitter finish. Decent beer.

Keg at Mongoose Vs Cobra, Houston. It pours clear gold with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sugary, pink lemonade and candy. The taste is dry, lightly tart, sugary, raspberry, candy, sugary, candied fruits and straw with a dry finish. Light - medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A but sweet and one-dimensional for the style. OK overall.

Aug. ’16. A 0.33 l can, thanks Marko & others! It poured almost a black body with smaller brownish head. Pleasant and strong roasted malt aroma of coffee, cocoa and caramel. Flavor was similar, on the sweetish way with a little bit of caramel, while coffee and cocoa dominated. Very simple, but effective stout, harshly roasted on palate within its full body. Lightly warming in the finish, which was coffee driven as well. Quite a nice and straightforward RIS.

Not bad. Aroma is a nice tart blend of hops, caramel malt, a little lemon, and other fruit. Flavor loses almost all of the hop, leaving mostly the slightly lemony tart beer. Good body. Very drinkable. Wish the hops would’ve stayed into the flavor.

Shared 16 oz. can. Pours brown with a large beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Pretty good. Bonus point on overall score for the tactical grip "To prevent slippage while fleeing." The can does indeed have a substance sprayed on it which makes it easier to grip.

Can/Fest. A- Malty, pine, caramel, bitter, bread. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, subtle bitterness. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- Really boring. Expected a juicy ipa and got one loaded with caramel bready malt. Meh.

Can. Thanks to the American at the BeerYard fest, whose name I managed to forget (sorry!) and Miro. Black with a small brown head. Extremely pungent, heavy coffee aroma, qute wonderful, with a light touch of alcohol though. Enormous coffee in the taste, light caramel, not that chocolatey but it’s there. Simple, effective. Not as great taste-wise as aroma-wise, but really glad I’ve tried it.

Draft at Taphouse in Manhattan. Just like all the other blondes on this cross country trip. Vegetal, papery, herbal and completely useless.

Draft at Taphouse in Manhattan. When I thought I was done with this hop, I get a Citra beauty in the middle of Kansas. Bow your head in shame Seattle. Just so damn tropical and lively with low bitterness. Well done Tallgrass.
