Much more of a pale ale than an esb. Light brown color. Flavor has lots of hops, and same for the aroma. It is bitter, and it does taste good, but the classification is way off.

Another beer from the tallgrass selections. A pounder can. Pours like any good IPA from a tap. rocky fading head hangs. what else can be said but pine sap tar spruce chewing on rude green grapefruit rinds effects. there is also this matly thing goping on in the background. Long bitter linger. Oily mouth coating soapy slither. Messmerizingly rude taste, on style for all practical IPA purposes. Taste is like that big elephant, on the front of the can, punnishing across yer taste buddicles.

From a pounder can. sweet volatile and stouty aroma, but not like an impy stout. Very attractive black beer look, no head. Taste is not as bitter as expected and is quite laid back for a stout. Good smooth flavors almost tart at times but never quite gets there, nevertheless, it is a pleasant aspect of the beer. The palate morphs, it goes from a sizzle to nearly a flat in aabout 5 seconds in the mouth. Nice black beer drinken experience. Finish is almost roasty bitter but pulls back. Gets better as the session continues. Enjoyed this big can.

Aroma: The nose is fairly malty, some roasted notes, toffee, caramel, and nuts
Appearance: It pours a clear dark caramel-brown color with a foamy beige head
Flavor: The taste is similar to the nose, malty and medium sweet, no discernible bitterness
Palate: The body is fairly light, the carbonation is soft, its a touch watery, and the feel is lightly creamy
Overall Impression: This is a pretty unexciting brew overall. It doesn't bring much originality to the table, and there isn't a ton of depth either. Fairly run-of-the-mill. I mean I didn't hate it, but if I was the brewer I don't think I'd be too excited to call this my "flagship beer."

Aroma: The nose has some grassy hops, floral notes, earth, crystal malts, and little citrus
Appearance: Pours a mostly clear orange color with a thick and creamy white head with heavy lacing
Flavor: The taste is similar to the nose, lightly sweet and medium bitter with a slightly acidic finish to it
Palate: The body is medium and the mouthfeel is rather smooth and creamy, it finishes with a dry acidity
Overall Impression: From the "Little Apple," the home of K State, comes my first Kansas rating! Another state ticked! I thought this was an aliright IPA, but it wasn't a great example of the style. Still though, it is drinkable. I don't know what else to say. It isn't close to being special, but you can drink a few without complaining much.

Tall boy can @ home. Dark brown appearance with a big bubbly, dark brown head. Big roasty, dark chocolate malty, toasty coffee, slightly bitter aroma. Sweet, milky, light caramel, chocolate malty, tangy coffee, sweet flavor. Pretty sweet, roasted, dark malty taste with a roasty, chocolate aftertaste.

From a quarter pound can, heheh. First off, this is not yer typical, mild, enjoyable ESB. Somewhat revolting tripel esb aroma. Cloudy brownish lighter look. Expensive, may I add at $3. Big malty alky blasty thingy yippeee. Nssty blastic all across the nation ripping across my taste buds. Forgot about the CO2 because of the overly giant alky trippel ESB impact. Probably should not be in this style; I’ll say the style is strong english ale. Building astringent sides and back of the tongue. Mouth coating slam that only a real beer drinker could appreciate. Finish is same. I think I’m getting a little dizzy from this can. Yes, a real MANZ beer. Sickning cloying bitter nasty mess, on style for a trippel bitter.

Tallboy can @ home. Hazy, red orange appearance with a big off white head. Orange, grapefruit citrusy hoppy, sweet malty nose. Sweet pale malty, orange, tangerine, grapefruit hoppy flavor. Not bad.

500 ml Can. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, grass, earthy hops. Nice, glowing, red-orange. Sweet luscious malt flavor, great bitterness from English hops, earthy and a bit dirty. Good stuff. Very drinkable, rich and fun but not heavy or boozy. A nice ramped-up ESB.

Deep rich muddy ruby tinted body with a copper glow and a thick, soapy deep tan head that exploded out of the can, but died shortly afterwards - odd. Aroma of fresh hops, alcohol, malt, caramel and then more grapefruity hops. Medium to Full-bodied; Assertive grapefruit and piney hops with a touch of earthy and caramel malt with a lot of alcohol and a touch of sweetness at the end. Aftertaste shows a vague bit of spices, a little malt, a ton of alcohol and the nice bittering hoppiness that people (including myself) enjoy so much. Overall, a nice and flavourful, potent, complex and refreshing beer - all in a can, as a rarer style! I sampled this 500 mL can purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia on 27-March-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 29-September-2011.
