Nothing good happening here. Cloy and overbearing, with a sharp, sweet, biting finish. The raspberry flavor seems fake, and the Saison tastes more like malt liquor than good farmhouse ale. Corn, sugar, raspberry-flavored cough syrup, liquor, ick.

12 oz. bottle from Bert’s Better Beers. Used English pint glass. Color is a nearly see through amber, light carbonation that produces a respectable amount of head. Laced well all the way until finish. Nose is strictly light malt. Sweet flavors dominate the palate. Sugar, bready malt and toffee are the flavors I’m getting. Residual sugar lingers in the finish. Not bad in any way but nothing that makes it memorable either.

12 oz. bottle from Bert’s Better Beers. Used a footed pilsner glass. Roasted malt and a light smoky nose. Nose gets better as it warms. Nice schwarzbier flavors. Caramel, chocolate malt and a mild grain. No hops at all. Light nutty flavors as it warms. I like this, worth a try if you like this style. This shouldn’t be listed as a brown as, Think someone added it wrong.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 10/9/11
Aroma: The nose is rather subtle, almost not there at all, light yeast, spice, and bubblegum
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear golden-orange color with a fizzy white head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is rather simple as well, some yeast flavors, some sweetness, with minimal hop presence
Palate: The body is also kind of light, it has a lively (plus) carbonation to it, and a fairly watery, short finish
Overall Impression: Well, I guess I shouldn't have expected too much from a beer with a name like this one... And honestly, I wasn't expecting too much, and this one lived right up to those low expectations.

Appearance: This one pours a sightly hazy amber color with a beige head and light drips of lace
Flavor: The taste is plus sweet, similar to the components of the nose, with a mild English hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a malty, sweet stickiness on the mouth, and an average-lively carbonation
Overall Impression: Overall, this is a solid Winter Ale. It is a little too sticky-sweet for my particular palate, but I can see the appeal for those who prefer that style. It works reasonably well for what it is trying to be, but I can't go much higher then this.

Bottle. Deep amber body with orange highlights. Big beige head, slowly diminishing The aroma was grainy with notes of toast and a hint of DMS and caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Average Oktoberfest, but better than the other two beers I’ve had from this brewery.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright caramel-amber color with a huge creamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was semi sweet with strong nutmeg and moderate cinnamon and toasted caramel. The flavor was sweet caramel, apple, strong cinnamon and nutmeg and a fairly strong pumpkin element. The finish was medium length tangy caramel and spice. Fairly full bodied. Really tasted quite a bit like a pumpkin pie. Excellent.

Copper with a white head. Nice spicing, light pumpkin, light toasted malts. Medium body. Real nice beer with good levels of toasted malts, spice, and pumpkin.

Babyfood banana and pear nose with a very slight hint of coriander. Milky greenish yellow, thin head, full of white floaties. Tart lemon flavor with a little wet cardboard. Finishes with light banana and pear. Not a standard wit and has elements of american wheat and german hefeweizens. Ok.

Hazy golden blonde coloured body with a thin white head that fades very fast. Aroma of wheat, yeast, light spices and a very small touch of citrus. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive banana and breadie yeast flavour with some spices showing strongly up front with a good freshness. Aftertaste is more well-rounded with a good wheatie taste, some light sugars and a lot of good potent citrus. Overall, a fairly nice and strong belgian white that shows complexity and is left still cool. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 20-July-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 13-August-2011.
