16/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours clear dark amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, stewed fruits, some veg, and a mucky farty edge. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, touch of tart. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Tasted much better than it's aroma. Didn't seem right.

Bottle from Arcade Beers, Huddersfield. Very mildly hazy golden coloured with a head. Citrus based brew but very bland tasting, with not much pils character to be found - perhaps some in nose. Texture is fine in the palate.

Sample, thanks Grumbo. Dark brown, a bit hazy with large and lasting beige head. Nice winter spices in the nose, cinnamon with more prominent biscuits. Medium sweet start, moderate bitterness, spices. herbal finish and lasting aftertaste. Medium body. Not bad, though a bit sharp at times.
