Thanks to Enniskillen for this ale. Transparent ruby-brown ale, with a reddish brown head that laces the glass. Nice fresh raspberry aroma. Slighty sweet, malty-raspberry flavor with a hint of sourness in the aftertaste.

Poured a cloudy orange hue, just like thier description. Had a nice head that lasted for most of the glass. I could taste the malts, wheat, a bit of orange, and a hint of apple. Pleasant to drink with a clean finish.

Hazy light copper body, thin off-white head. Toasty, cerealy aroma with grassy, earthy hops. Biscuity, cerealy malt body, a bit acidic, tart, and thin, with moderate grassy hoppiness. This isn’t half-bad, but it could be a bit creamier and less acidic as it is a session beer. Thanks RooftopRogue for the bottle!

A strange beer, sort of like a light rauch or schwarzbier. Black appearance and a small head. Aroma of roasted meat with a lighter flavor than I expected from the aroma and appearance. Dry finish. Pleasant; and I am always happy to try any traditional ale.

This is a good tripel. Fruit aroma and lightly hopped. More fruit combined with alcohol in the flavor. Simple but pleasant.

Draught, Billygoat Tavern, Mt. Shasta, CA
Golden-amber colour. Fresh, spicy hop (Mt Hood?...guess I was wrong there...I’m stunned...) character with hints of breadcrust. Light character - an amber with hints of caramel and the same spicy hop. Decent if unadventurous brew, complemented a corned beef sandwich well, too, when the food came.

Draft. Pale hazy yellow with a big white head. Yeasty aroma with lots of spice. Yeasty flavor - banana, clove and sweet malt. Drinkable with some complexity. It seemed like a cross between a wit and light abbey.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a small tan head. Aroma is fresh cherries with a strong and overpowering woody backbone. Very earthy and musty with lots of sourness.Very strange beer. Lots of mustyness and flavor, which is smooth.

Sampled at the Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beer at Goose Island, Nov.11, 2005. Dark reddish brown ale with a thin creamy lacing head. Sour cherries and vinegar abound, in an aphrodisiac way. In mouth, the graceful sour cherries go well with the vinegry, woody notes, and cinnamon like qualities coming out. My best of show.

Orange beer, small just off-white head. Beautifully C-hopped, and only light lactic and acetic hints in the nose. Great, perfectly fresh hops taste, on top of beautiful lactic acidity. Fresh pipe tobacco smoke, and again hops (fresh) in the swallowing, grapefruit-like. Dry-out effect, dry, dry, dry. Absolutely great combination - the perfect marriage between bitter and sour. Super! Notes for the Brettanomyces refermented Le Terroir Orange-amber beer; nearly no head, transparant. Soft straw-like, soft-hoppy nose, with lots of fusels and higher alcohols. Lemon-like sourness, extremely remarkably clear but falling away rapidly, hops flavour/ aroma without the bitterness. Flowery background flavours. Sharp, burning MF, more acid than alcohollike, of cours. Sharper, more phenolic than the usual dry-hopped Terroir, but nice all the same; yet the Bretts and the dry-hopping seem uneasy bedfellows.
