Bottle from Sandersput, Ninove. Hazy yellow, stable, foamy, white head. Aroma of unripe apple, pear & plumm, straw, clove, pepper, soap, bread crust. Taste has sweetish apple & pear, sourish citrus in a soapy-wheaty, bready malt body with spicy accents. Grassy hoppy finish, quite spicy, dry-yeasty, unripe fruit notes. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Textbook Saison, good.

The aromas are a nice blend of malt, yeast, spice and fruit plus a little bad breath! Don't think it's mine. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, bittersweet, don't pick up much of the spice. Good body and carbonation, slightly boozy finish.

750ml bottle at The Old Bookshop, Bedminster, Brizzle. Pours hazed dark golden orange with a beige cap. Aroma: spicy, yeasty, over-ripe stone fruits, peppery hints. Taste: dry, spicy yeasty, stone fruits, berries, pepper. Medium body with spritzy carbonation.

Draft at Ebenezers. Clear bright gold, high, fluffy white head. Notes of citrus, yeast, floral. Yeast leads the taste, light sweetness and dries out.

On tap at the junkyard Nottingham. Hazy pale yellow colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are floral, light spicy herbal and dry to finish. Medium body.

Bottled 330ml. -at Ambasada Zagreb, shared with hrabren. Unclear yellow/golden coloured, medium to big white head, yeasty fruity nose. Sweet malty, spicy, yeasty, light bready and phenolic with rather dry finish.

Delicious! More Dubbel than Witbier but a lovely mix of both. Utterly crushable. Jan was a leader of robbers, and "at the age of 23 he was broken on the wheel at the Grote Markt in Aalst."

bottiglia 33 cl, bel cappello di schiuma bianca fine persistente, color giallo oro velato, al naso è fruttata speziata lieviti belgi spezie succo di pera note floreali lieve banana e ananas, in bocca marmellata di pesche pera frutta candita note erbacee, corpo rotondo, carbonazione forte che la rende perfettamente bevibile, l’alcool si sente non disturba e riscalda, bella secca e pulita, dolce e lieve acidula con amaro moderato. 0.33 l bottle shared with Ogi. Unclear golden, creamy white head. Nice yeasty aroma, a bit heavy phenolic, ripe apple esters. Orange zest, coriander, rosemary. A bit harsh, sweetness, heavy spicy. Good traditional saison. Refreshing. Moderate carbonation, moderate dry finish.
