A fuzzy, orange beer, a gently poured only a weak and blond head. A nose is pleasant, fruitful and tropical, mangos, some lychee, also balanced fructose and wet pine forest. Taste is medium bitter and tropical fruity, lychee, peaches, some sour grapefruits, and pine needles. The end is dry and bitter. Almost medium bodied, fresh to drink. Nice, tropical beer, unfortunately, the best freshness is missing.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Golden to orange color, a bit hazy. White head, quickly disappearing, with just a thin layer retention. Aroma’s: fresh hops, herbal, citrus, a hint of sourness, little malt. Some sourness retronasal as well, not sure if that was intentional. Flavor is light bitter with some grain & malty sweetness. Light bodied, but not too thin. Finishes with moderate bitterness that pleasantly lingers on. Lovely on this Summer day.

Cask at De Prael. Hazy amber-brown colour, no head. Aroma is floral, medium-sweet, caramel, a little funk, sweet&sour citrus from the citra hops I guess. Flavour is light-sweet, tart, funky, light Gueuze notes, light grainy, a bit floral, bitter-tart finish. Light-bodied. I’d rather have the APA without the Lambic.

Bag in box at In de Wildeman. Hazy deep red colour, no head. Aroma of pure cherries, cherry pits, quite sweet, hint of yoghurt, tart, almonds. Flavour is way less sweet, cherries, cherry skin, overtaken by a strong acidic sourness, hint of acetone, hint of yoghurt in the finish. Light-bodied. I’m not a sour-lover, but I think this is a more than decent attempt to make a Lambic.

Draft sample @ Tilburg Bierfestival 2013 & 33 cl. bottle @ home purchased @ De Molen. Review is for the bottle. Bottled on 29/05/2013. Murky bright peach orange, almost no head. Nose is heavy on mango & passion fruit, very, almost sweetish fruity hop notes, light grapefruit, touches of marmalade and candy sugar. Mango, grapefruit taste, pineapple, pine, passion fruit, tropical fruits, citrus, caramel, taste is a bit less outspoken than I hoped for after the smell but still wonderful. Very easy to drink, light, could indeed drink this 24/7.
