Keg at Lord’s Tavern, London. Black with a middling beige head. Fake coffee. Rather sweet. Some roasty notes and caramel. The fakeness fortunately fades as you drink more but it remains sweet and dull. Drinkable though I guess.

Keg at Lord?s Tavern, London. Golden-amber with a white head and a light fizz. Grainy, biscuitty malts and a bit of grass. A vague waft of lemon in the background. Short, mildly dry finish, although not especially crisp or refreshing. Ok by lager standards (possibly because it tastes more like a low-grade golden ale) but rather dull.

Tried at the Mailbox Lincoln as English Lager. Deep golden colour with a big white head. Aroma has more light floral hop. Very refreshing flavour and light sweet taste.
