330 ml. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems & Zoon. Small but steady gusher. Dark brown, light amber ruby, mahogany wood hued, small mocha coffee head. Nose is lightly sour, light vinegar, tart uneatable wild berries, sour coffee machine coffee, red berries, appears to be infected, faint charcoal,… Taste is cold coffee, light sourness, cheap coffee machine coffee, grainy, uneatable berries, charcoal, light weird tartness, grainy coffee grounds,… Thin, grainy, cheap coffee body. Pretty sure this isn’t right. Weird herbal, sour, grainy finish.

Medium creamy, cream-coloured head over orange-copperish beer. Aromatic, exotic fruit nose, hoppy, fragrant. Sweetish, malty, but with a fine sourish edge around the tonguesides. Good, short of being remarkable. Light to medium bodied, well-carbonated. Not bad at all, but I won’t get excited.

Hazy orange with big fluffy head. Typical stong, spicy, yeasty Belgian feel but with solid bitterness in the finish.

13/VI/14 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ home - BB: VII/2015 (2014-626) Thanks to Beerlover_Ben for picking this one up for me!
Pretty cloudy amber beige beer, huge foamy off-white to yellowish head, very stable, adhesive. Aroma: citrus, but not like American hops, more Euro hops. Fruity, with a Belgian yeast twist, bit spicy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, grassy hops, pretty bitter, dry, chemical touch, spicy, Belgian yeast, fruity. Aftertaste: grassy bitter hop, fruity, some yeast.

Bottle from my friend Eric drunk at Toji while reading Belgian Beer & Food Magazine. Served in a chalice. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a cloudy orange gold with a fizzy beige head that dissipates quickly. The nose is appetizingly fruity, citrusy orange, spices & a breadiness. The taste is sweet, fruity, hard candies, with a bready malt character. The finish gives some hoppy bitterness with a herbal somewhat minty taste. As it warms up the flavors open up giving a bit more of a Belgian farmhouse feel. Very tasty. The mouthfeel is soft & round, medium bodied with a light effervescent carbonation. It doesn’t come off as terribly complex but it is a damn delicious brew!

33 cl. bottle split costs & contents with Kogymo. Procured from Willems. Hazy orange with a solid white head. Nose carries surprisingly hops, not overt but clearly there and quite enjoyable, oranges and light pine resin, fruity, touch flowers. Taste is a touch more yeast forward than hoppy but still with some nice hops. Sweet white bread hops, oranges, faint pine, touch sweetness, fruity, orange, some sweetness. Body is a touch yeast, low on bitterness. Surprisingly nice, needs less yeast & more hops but enjoyable for sure.
