Bottle at Black Christmas 2017
Black color. Nice coconut and chocolate aroma. Rich chocolate flavor, sweet, full bodied, with warming alcohol. It's like boozy Bounty Bar, delicious.

can - Dark brown pour with a light tan head. The aroma is of malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet, malty, and full of chocolate. Medium bodied. Smooth. The chocolate is nice though to me the rest could have had more going for it.

12 ounce can into lager glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, corn, white bread, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit fruity/yeasty in the aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with pale malt/corn and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, corn, white bread, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, corn, white bread, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness of pale malt/corn and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.8%. Overall this is a very good light lager. All around nice robustness of pale malt/corn and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the low ABV, never watery feeling. Clean Pils/grainy corn flavors, with solid hop balance. A very enjoyable and well made style example.

bottle - Copper pour. Hoppy aroma with citrus and resin. Flavor is of course quite bitter. Citrus and pine notes are coupled with caramel malt. Medium bodied, tasty IPA.

can - Pours dark brown with a tan head. It smells of roast malt and coffee. The flavor is similar. I found it on the light side for a porter. What's there is decent but I'd like it to pack a little more oomph flavor-wise.

On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet and earthy dark grains with a bit of roasted malts and bourbon supporting. Flavor is similar with lots of sweet dark grains and bourbon with light roast and earthiness underlying.
