Very mild dark malts with mellow dark chocolate and lactose. Little dark fruits. Light piney hops. Comes together well before a semi dry finish.

Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2013. It pours near black with pretty much no head. The nose is rich roast, coffee, oily, earth, dirt, toffee and tangy dark fruit. The taste is earth, roasty, toast, spice, medicinal, light tang, coffee, citrus peel, chewy malt and plenty of booze. Full body and soft carbonation. A bit chewy and tough going considering its only 7%.... Ok.
