Bottle. Pours with a tan head over a amber-ruby-brown body. Aroma of leather, caramel, dark fruits, dates, chocolate, sun tan lotion, vanilla and leather. Taste is very malty, with caramel, dates, burnt toffee, Mexican Flan, and spice. Light bubbles, creamy carbonation

Bottle from the Coop in Davis. Pours a clear ruby coppy with a decent beige head. Smells rather malt, but there’s a lot of yeast/spice as well. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is a touch of dark fruit like date, but there is a lot of yeast and a bit of kandi. Heck, I think even banana. Maybe corriander. This is a lot of flavor, but perhaps a touch too sweet. At least for me.

Bottled: Pours dark amber with a small head. Sweet and malty aroma with notes of hops and toffee. Sweet and thick mouthfeel. Very malty and at the same time very bitter. Flavour has notes of toffee, liquorice and a little bit of chocolate. Hey, this DIPA almost seems balanced!

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel-orange colro wtih a huge orange-beige head. The aroma was dry floral hops and light sour malts. The flavor was dry, bitter and fruity hops with a light piney hops, chocolate, caramel, spice and pineapple underneath. The finish was long and bitter with notes of grapefruit and pineapple. The mouthfeel was moderately thick. Well done.

Onb tap at the Bocktown, nice place. Probably better than saranacs. Smells slightly fruity and it has a cloudy look about it. Iced at that. Quite tasty at first then it morphs into this malt feeling. The malt builds through the session. Seems a little high in the alky and now I see it is 8%! Finish is somewhat medicinal like cough medicine.
