Bomber from Bottle Barn; Nose of citrus and floral hops with some light graininess; Rusty orange with a big, long-lasting, glass-lacing, straw head; flavor of hop bitterness, caramel, light toffee, and sweet malty tones. No diacetyl like the barrel-aged version I had at the Bistro’s BA Fest a couple weeks ago.

(Bottle 35, 5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Clear, warm, dark brown with a reddish hue and a small, beige head. Lightly sweetish aroma of malt and fruit. Medium body with fruity touches and lightly burned, chocolatey malt accents. Perhaps a little marzipan also. Rather discreet bitterness in the finish. 171107

22oz bottle. Pours extremely dark. Aroma is of sweet malts and citrus hops. Flavor is very sweet, malty, and hoppy. Notes of toffee and a fruit (mostly plum) as well. Alcohol is a bit noticeable, but at 11 percent it’s forgivable.

22 oz bottle. Pour is a little light with a thin white head. Aroma is pretty mild, with slight notes of fruits. Flavor is pretty mild with a very tart (and sweet at the same time). Slight alcohol hint. It was decent.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small tan head. The aroma was sweet, malty and had a bock like element. The flavor was dry, bitter, roasty and a bit smoky. The finish was long and dry. Everything I generally dislike in a brown ale.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a small yellow-white head. The aroma was sweet, malty and nutty with light notes of caramel and vague fruits. The flavor was sweet, tangy, bitter and fruity with a undertone of nut and caramel in the malts. Seemed more of an amber ale than an APA to me. Not bad.

Bottle. Mahogony beer wth a light brown head. Chocolate, roasty, malty, caramel aroma (malts dominate), with some backing citrus. Grapefruit and pine hops give way to chocolate, caramel, roast/coffee flavors. A lot going on, but it complements itself nicely. Decent bitterness. Fuller bodied. Nutty, caramel, chocolate malts linger with pine resin hops.
